Hôtel Le Normandy, Groupe Barrière, Deauville

Type du projet

Resident Pianist

Date

2017

Since 2017, Hugo Silver has been the resident pianist at Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy Deauville, performing there for ten years. An iconic landmark on the Normandy coast, Le Normandy has welcomed distinguished guests for more than a century, including Coco Chanel, who opened her first Deauville boutique in 1913.
The hotel also holds a special place in French cinema. Claude Lelouch filmed scenes there for A Man and a Woman, the 1966 Palme d’Or winner whose romance made Deauville’s seaside setting famous around the world. That cinematic legacy continues through the Deauville American Film Festival, which has brought major stars to the town over the years, including Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor, George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
For Hugo, a decade at Le Normandy means performing in a place where music, hospitality and cinema meet—and where the glamour of Deauville is part of the atmosphere every evening.
